Happy Mother's Day

'Hundreds of dewdrops to greet the dawn,
Hundreds of bees in the purple clover,
Hundreds of butterflies on the lawn,
But only one mother the wide world over'
George Cooper

It's Mother's day today so we say 'Happy Mother's day' to all the amazing mothers out there.

We know it's no small thing being a mother so we celebrate our mothers today for all the love and care and for basically putting up with our crap all these many you honestly think you are easy to live with? I'm not so certain cos I know I'm trouble myself so it's not always pleasant lol.

I'm hoping you've shown your mother some love today without being told:a gift,a hug,a song, even nice words would be amazing, cos today is not about you.Yes for once you're not thinking about yourself, you are thinking about the woman who carried you in her belly for 9 longgggg months which was mostly uncomfortable. You doubt it? If yes, strap a beach ball or any big ball to your belly, try walking around and see how you do.That is before we factor in all the pain...yes,it might shock you to know that you were a pain way before you were born and you still are.

Earlier today I was looking for something on the internet and this funny Mother's day message popped up,it said: 'Thanks for letting me be a parasite in your body for 9 months...followed by another 18 years as a parasite outside your body'.This cracked me up real good cos of the reality and I believe it says 18 because it is expected that at that age you would have grown a brain-a good one,and would have begun to use it.

So my family and I went to church today for the Mothering Sunday Service,it was a lovely service but as expected it was much longer than the usual service but I had a good time.
Most of the service had me thinking and reflecting on what being a mother meant and I made a promise in my heart to my unborn children but it wouldn't be much of a secret if I told you.

After the whole shebang we made our way back home and regardless of the fact that I was tired,I still did some begging to have these pictures taken.Afterall it does say fashion blog at the top so I might as well fall in line.

So I wrapped my hair a bit for Church and wore this floral print dress I bought from a friend with just my earrings as jewelry, trying to keep it simple for Church.I paired this with my pointed high heels from asos then waltzed into Church today and after all that walking around I'm glad my feet is off the ground.

I'm gonna go get ready for the week and put things in order but I would love to leave behind something I learned strongly today which happens to be 'patience' in all things.Whatever your desires in life may be,don't rush it cos God has got it under control so it will be handled after all you can't rush perfection.

Have a beautiful week and don't forget to breathe.

Till the next,
