A Few Of My Favourite Things...

'Let us read and let us dance—two amusements that will never do any harm to the world.'
Voltaire

Hey hey!
It's friday!!!
Oh yes it is,I just triple-checked to be sure.
You should see the huge grin I'm currently sporting.
Am I allowed to be this happy, you might be wondering?
Goodness yes!!! *insert non-stop giggle*
The past few days have felt endless I'm afraid but that ends NOW!!!
In everybody's best interest I'm gonna dog-ear the pages of my little ramblings to prevent it from turning into the full-blown crazy it has a tendency of becoming.
On that note I shall go on ahead and share with you a couple things I'm currently loving
...no judging me pretty pleasssseeeee.....
Here goes:

1. Chamomile tea: If you are a health-freak and know your teas I need not explain why I'm crazy about this.I know I mentioned in my previous post I was a tad wound up for reasons unknown, well this is the cure in a rectangular box.Chamomile is known for its soothing and relaxing properties which makes it useful in treating sleeping problems, upset stomachs, nausea or as a dietary supplement for stomach cramps. It has a whole bunch of other uses but these are the few that appeal to me currently. So as you can see there is a method to my madness.I actually take the tea steaming hot with no milk, sugar or honey:I found that I love the taste that way though a ton of people would disagree.Sad thing is that some people could be allergic to this baby but in this country of ours I wouldnt worry so much, very few people have allergies compared to the rest of the world-NIGERIA WOULD MAKE YOU IMMUNE WHETHER YOU LIKE IT OR YES.

2. Rogue by Rihanna: One of my weaknesses: pretty fragrances...yes I said it: I fall in and out of love everyday where perfumes are concerned-I could literally be crazy about a person just because of how they smelt.I don't know why, I know it sounds lame but that's just the way it is and trust me if I could afford it I would spend a lot on amazing perfumes(I'm sure people can relate, just like wine-tasting- if you're a wine-kinda-gal).Anyway I love this bottle of perfume just because its subtle and unassuming not overbearing.I think the only problem I have with this fragrance is that it doesn't last long or maybe it's just me and my nose not being able to sniff out things anymore, who knows?

3. Avon Wonder Moon Orchid Gift Set: Okay me and this one kinda had a love-hate relationship at first.First time I encountered it,it came with a body mist,a body wash and body cream all in 60ml bottles(except the body cream that's in a  50ml bottle) and they all smelt the same when you sniff it through the bottle....but that was until I actually used it. I literally ran to get myself anothet gift set when the first ran out cos I was totally in love by that time, who knew all it took was just a try.I use the body cream as a hand cream cos its small and can fit into my purse always, same as the body mist but I'm still yet to try the body wash seeing as I'm not really big on liquid soap but someday soon I shall be trying this.

4. Fruit of the Earth Aloevera gel: This one's my everyday secret weapon, like honestly what don't I use this for? Almost nothing. It's just so multipurpose so I use it a lot and if I want fresh aloevera all I need do is go outside-I planted one in a pot out back for when I need it fresh (oh snap!!! Just remembered I haven't been out there in a while, wonder when last it was watered?oh well). So in my previous beauty hacks post,I mentioned using aloevera for burns and abrasions ( I can be a major klutz I admit so this is plenty helpful),I use it as a moisturizer as well before applying my makeup-keeps the sweat at bay and I also use this on my hands and feet cos it's soothing. The good thing about this is that it comes in a big bottle and is pretty cost effective so that's a plus.I intend to try this out as a styler for my hair sometime in the not too distant future.

5. Power Thoughts by Joyce Meyer: Some of you might be wondering how a book made it to this list but like they say 'Reading is to the mind what exercise is to the body —Richard Steele' and 'The greatest gift is a passion for reading-Elizabeth Hardwick'.It is important therefore that we take care of our minds like we would our bodies. So I try my best to read a good book every once in a while and not always bury my head in not-so-great novels.I confess I have been so tired lately that I've not gotten round to reading as much of it as I would have loved but trust me every single page in this book is worth all your time.It motivates your thinking and speaks to your very being. This is one book I intend to make out time for and make good on my resolutions when it comes to reading spectacular books every month.

So that's it guys, just five of my current faves...I could go on and on about them but I'll rather shut up for the moment simply because I'm about to run away and get ready for the weekend.Afterwards,I plan to get cozy in bed while I catch up on Empire episodes I've been missing out on cos honestly 'I love me some Cookie' (for those that have no idea what I'm talking about just watch Empire TV Series and you won't be dissappointed I promise).

Have a beautiful weekend and make the most of it.
Till the next one,
Hugs and Sugar.
